Ahimsa + Activism: Yoga for Palestine

A virtual solidarity event for Taawon, a Palestinian organization providing aid in Gaza

Reflect and embody the yogic principle of Ahimsa - radical non-harming - as fuel for your activism. This workshop begins with Rula sharing about her experience as part of the Palestinian diaspora and her work out of Jordan and ends with space to process, ask questions, and connect on what solidarity looks like.

The bulk of the workshop will be dedicated to mindfulness meditation, yoga asana (movement), and mudra (sacred hand gestures) to harness energy with the aim of nurturing your activism through yoga. We will be using mudras - sacred gestures for balancing energy to counter the violence of the genocide we are witnessing. The asana portion will be a mindful flow to build inner strength and the practice will conclude with a final meditation.

This is a solidarity event for Taawon, which is a local Palestinian organization providing aid in Gaza.
